The SACC Report contains current news, projects and general club communications  from the Sacramento Amiga Computer Club.  We have members in locations across the globe and would like to count you among them.  Please follow the link to our homepage here to find out more about our club, organized in 1986.

We are also the organizers of the AmiWest computer show, now in its 16th year for 2013.  Please visit the AmiWest homepage at amiwest.net for more AmiWest 2013 news.

Our  SACC  club  meeting  was  held at the Holiday Inn Express, 2444 Auburn
Blvd.,  Sacramento,  CA,  the  site  of  AmiWest  2013  Meeting in the great
room  provides  a nice seating setup as well as a great 60" HDMI LG TV that
we  use  as  an  Amiga monitor.  It's a great addition to our club meetings
since we don't have to carry it, courtesy of the hotel management.

It was our largest club meeting this year, and we had one guest whom we hope
will be in attendance next time as well.

As noted above, we are organizing a SACC board meeting between now and May
20.  News of those activities will also be posted here.

See you on May 20!

Our first SACC club meeting for 2013 was held at the Holiday Inn Express, 2224 Auburn Blvd., Sacramento, CA.  Meeting in the Great Room, we opened the meeting at 7:39 PM after a small technical difficulty with the large high-definition monitor delayed an on-time start.  President Brian Deneen opened the meeting with a recap of the club's current status.  We then engaged in a lively discussion of ways to organize our club meetings and update our constitution and by-laws.  New board member Sue Ann Carpignano was also unanimously elected to fill a vacancy left by the late J.B. Mackey.

This blog was suggested by long-time member Michael Salcedo as a way of updating and reinistating our Amigazette newsletter, published from 1986 to 2007 by a long line of editors and publishers.  Then, it was a print magazine of 12-15 pages, printed and mailed by our volunteer club members.  Now that electronic media are readily available for similar purposes, everyone seemed to think that a blog page would be a good idea.

Our next club activity will be a board meeting of the club officers to look at administrative tasks and club projects.  We'll be reporting the results here so that you, our members and friends, can see what we are up to and participate more frequently.    A club is its members and friends; you are the reason we do what we do.  Be sure to check out our club meeting schedule here to stay up to date with our General meeting schedule.

See you next time!
